Europäische Schneisen

The series "Europäische Schneisen" (European Paths) brings together volumes of essays on European traditions and developments in central literary and cultural areas such as poetry, the family novel, the novel of formation and the Enlightenment, each in a contrasting comparison between Germany, England, France and (where appropriate) other countries. The collected individual contributions of each volume are always directly related to each other through common questions and modes of argumentation and thus convey a picture of the commonality and diversity of Europe in historical perspective.
