About the offer

The Open Access publishing service of the Hamburg State and University Library offers researchers and scholars from the University of Hamburg or other academic institutions in Hamburg the opportunity to publish the first release of their work.

All publications appear under an open Creatice Commons license (preferably under CC BY 4.0) according to the Open Access Gold standard in digital form. The rights of use, for example for a second publication (e.g. a translation or storage on a professional repository), remain with our authors.

At the same time, the work is published as a high-quality print edition (hard or soft cover), which is available in both stationary and online bookstores. The publications are professionally typeset, taking into account the publisher's internal guidelines for linguistic and formal standardisation. The performance of professional proofreading (spelling, grammar, punctuation) is mandatory. Particularly favorable conditions apply to the publication of dissertations.
